Built by Network Engineers, for Network Engineers

CloudPeerDiscover was founded to solve the single biggest pain in modern hybrid infrastructure: nobody has a complete, accurate, and up-to-date picture of their network.

01

Our Origin

CloudPeerDiscover grew out of a Toronto-based infrastructure consulting practice that spent years helping enterprises untangle undocumented cloud sprawl. Every engagement started the same way: hours of manual inventory work before any real engineering could begin. We built the tool we wished existed.

02

Our Approach

We believe network visibility should be automatic, not a quarterly project. Our platform is built on agentless, read-only discovery — no footprint on managed devices, no broad write permissions. Every finding is normalized into a vendor-neutral model so your team can reason about AWS, Azure, and GCP side by side.

03

Our Commitment

We are committed to accuracy, privacy, and your team's autonomy. CloudPeerDiscover never stores raw packet data or credentials. Your inventory data is yours — exportable in open formats at any time, with no lock-in.

To make hybrid network visibility effortless, accurate, and universal.

We envision a world where every network engineer starts their day with a complete, live map of every cloud peer, every on-premises device, and every compliance obligation — without lifting a finger to compile it. That is the product we are building, and the standard we hold ourselves to.

How We Work

Accuracy First

We obsess over accuracy in every discovery result, every topology map, and every audit finding. A 99% accurate inventory is 100% useless — your team needs to trust every line item. We achieve this through continuous validation, feedback loops, and vendor integration testing.

Privacy by Design

We never store your credentials, raw network packets, or anything beyond normalized metadata. Our agents operate read-only with no write permissions. Your data never leaves your infrastructure unless you explicitly export it. Encryption at rest and in transit (AES-256 and TLS 1.3) is always on, everywhere.

Vendor Neutrality

We normalize AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud configurations into a unified model. This means you are not locked into any single cloud provider's terms, abstractions, or pricing. Your network inventory belongs to you, and you can take it anywhere.

Radical Simplicity

We believe powerful tools should be simple to use. Agentless discovery, one-click IAM role setup, no manual spreadsheets, no vendor-specific syntax — just connect and watch it work. If you cannot understand a feature in five minutes, we redesign it.

Our Team

CloudPeerDiscover is built by former network architects and infrastructure engineers from Fortune 500 companies. Our founding team has designed, deployed, and audited multicloud networks for over 50 years combined. We built this tool because we lived the pain — and we are relentless about solving it better every day.

Leadership

Our CEO and co-founder, James Chen, leads network architecture strategy at two unicorns before founding CloudPeerDiscover. VP of Product, Sarah Mitchell, designed compliance auditing systems for three Fortune 100 enterprises. Our Chief Technology Officer, Daniel Brennan, architected the Terraform provider ecosystem at HashiCorp. Together with our team of 22 engineers and operations specialists, we are committed to making network visibility the competitive advantage for every team.

Our Journey

2023 — Founding & Private Beta

CloudPeerDiscover was founded in Toronto by a team of infrastructure engineers frustrated with fragmented cloud networking tooling. We spent the first year building core discovery and topology mapping, quietly gathering feedback from early-adopter enterprises.

2024 — Public Launch & Traction

We launched publicly in Q2 2024 with support for AWS, Azure, and GCP. Within six months, we had signed 400+ customers across financial services, healthcare, and SaaS. We expanded to include on-premises discovery and started building out our compliance auditing suite.

2025 — Enterprise Features & Global Expansion

This year we have rolled out advanced features including custom compliance frameworks, API-first access, private deployment options, and global probe distribution. Our team has grown to 22 people across North America and Europe, and we are on track to cross 2,400 enterprise customers by year-end.

2026 — Intelligence & Automation

Today we are launching AI-powered anomaly detection, automated remediation recommendations, and predictive topology changes. We are focused on making network engineers more productive, and network infrastructure more resilient.

What We Build

Discovery Engine

Continuous, agentless scanning across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud accounts discovers every VPC, VNet, peering connection, subnet, and on-premises device. Our engine is built for accuracy and speed — most networks complete a full inventory in under an hour.

Network Topology Mapping

Automatically generated topology diagrams render your entire hybrid network architecture in real time. Export to PDF, PNG, SVG, or Visio-compatible formats. Share with ops, security, and leadership — everyone sees the same source of truth.

Compliance Auditing

Built-in rule sets for CIS Benchmarks, NIST SP 800-53, and SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria run continuously against your network inventory. Custom compliance frameworks are definable through our visual rules engine. Evidence export is one click away.

Hybrid Network Visibility

Agentless probes deployed in your on-premises network segments discover routers, switches, firewalls, and servers using SNMP and SSH. Combined with your cloud inventory, CloudPeerDiscover builds a complete end-to-end topology of your hybrid infrastructure.

Trust & Security

CloudPeerDiscover is built for enterprises that require the highest security and compliance standards. We hold ourselves to the same standards we help you meet.

Certifications

CloudPeerDiscover is SOC 2 Type II certified, HIPAA-compliant, and GDPR-ready. We undergo independent security audits annually and maintain a bug bounty program for responsible disclosure.

Data Residency

Data encryption is AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Enterprise customers can opt for private deployments within their own VPC or on-premises environment. We never store credentials, raw packets, or anything beyond normalized metadata.

Access Controls

Role-based access control (RBAC), single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA) are built in. Audit logging captures every action taken within the platform — exportable for forensics and compliance reporting.
